This air fryer egg and cheese toast is the breakfast hack you didn’t know you needed—crispy bread, a perfectly set egg, and gooey melted cheese, all made in minutes. Whether you keep it classic or load it up with extras like avocado, spinach, or tomatoes, it’s fast, filling, and endlessly adaptable.

2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or your choice)

2 eggs

½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or blend)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional toppings: sliced avocado, baby spinach, cooked bacon, hot sauce, cherry tomatoes

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Use a spoon to gently press down the center of each bread slice to create a shallow well for the egg.

Crack one egg into each slice, being careful not to overflow the edges.

Sprinkle cheese around the egg and season with salt and pepper.

Carefully place toast slices in the air fryer basket.

Air fry for 6–8 minutes, or until the egg white is set and cheese is melted. Add 1–2 more minutes for a firmer yolk.

Remove, top with optional ingredients, and serve hot.
