2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon, divided
¼ cup chopped green onions or chives
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for coating)
For Serving:
Crackers, pretzels, or fresh veggie sticks
Mix the Base
In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, ½ cup bacon, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
Shape & Chill
Transfer mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Shape into a ball, wrap tightly, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight) until firm.
Coat the Cheese Ball
On a shallow plate, mix remaining ½ cup bacon with chopped parsley. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and roll it in the bacon mixture, pressing gently to coat evenly.
Serve
Place on a serving plate and let sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving for easy spreading. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggies.
This cheese ball can be prepared up to 2 days in advance. Store wrapped tightly in the refrigerator and bring to room temperature before serving.
