Bacon Ranch Chopped Salad

A hearty and satisfying salad with crispy bacon, fresh vegetables, and a creamy ranch dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of chopped broccoli
  • 2 cups of chopped cauliflower
  • 1 cup of diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup of shredded carrots
  • 1 cup of corn (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar recommended)
  • 6 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup of ranch dressing
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Start by washing and prepping all your vegetables. Chop your broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized florets—you want them to mix well but still provide a satisfying crunch. Dice your bell peppers and shred your carrots.
  2. Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, crisp up your bacon slices until they are perfectly golden and crunchy. Once done, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Combine the Veggies: In a large mixing bowl, add your chopped broccoli, cauliflower, diced bell peppers, shredded carrots, and corn. Give them a gentle toss.
  4. Add the Bacon and Cheese: Sprinkle in your cooked bacon bits and shredded cheese. Toss again, allowing the flavors to mingle.
  5. Dress It Up: Drizzle the ranch dressing over the top, and season generously with salt and pepper. Give everything a final toss.
  6. Plate and Serve: Once your salad is mixed, it’s time to serve! You can either place it in a large serving bowl or portion it into individual plates.

Notes

Serve it alongside grilled chicken or steak for a hearty dinner or enjoy it as a picnic favorite. Can be customized with different dressings or cheeses.
