Magical Banana Oatmeal Bars

Delightful and wholesome Banana Oatmeal Bars that bring nostalgia and comfort, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (approx. 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter (peanut butter, almond butter, etc.)
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until you have a smooth purée.
  3. Mix in the nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and salt until well combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden and the center is set.
  7. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift out using the parchment and let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

These bars freeze well and can be customized with various nuts and fruits.
