A comforting and flavorful dish that brings the classic takeout experience to your kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb sliced beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the noodles – Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lo mein noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually around 5-7 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. Prep the beef – Slice your beef into thin strips and marinate in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce for about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat things up – Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat, add the marinated beef, and sear for about 2-3 minutes until no longer pink.
  4. Time for the veggies – Remove beef, add minced garlic, followed by broccoli florets and sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Bring it all together – Return beef to the pan, add cooked noodles, remaining soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Toss together.
  6. Season to perfection – Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve it up – Transfer to bowls and garnish with green onions.
