Delicious Beef Lo Mein

A quick and delicious homemade Beef Lo Mein that brings the flavors of your favorite Chinese takeout right to your kitchen.

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 8 oz beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by slicing beef, vegetables, and mincing garlic.
  2. Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling water according to package instructions, around 3-5 minutes, then drain and rinse.
  3. Sear the beef in a skillet with vegetable oil, seasoning with salt and pepper, until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Sauté the vegetables in the same pan, starting with garlic, for about 30 seconds, then adding bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli, stir-frying for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine the beef, noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil in the pan, tossing to coat.
  6. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
