The Ultimate BLT Chicken Salad

A delightful BLT Chicken Salad that combines classic flavors of bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes with shredded chicken for a fresh, nostalgic twist.

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy, about 5–7 minutes, and let drain on paper towels.
  2. Shred the chicken using two forks until you have a nice pile.
  3. Prep the veggies by halving the cherry tomatoes and dicing the avocado.
  4. Crisp up the halved tomatoes in leftover bacon grease for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Mix the chicken, bacon, sautéed tomatoes, and avocado in a large bowl.
  6. Whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper, then pour over the salad and toss gently.
  7. Taste the salad and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Notes

For a twist, consider adding diced jalapeños for spice, or crumbled feta for a cheesy bite. Serve immediately for best texture.
