Ingredients
Scale
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup milk
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar (for cinnamon swirl)
1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add this to the butter mixture alternating with the milk.
Combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl to create a crumbly filling.
Layer half of the batter in the prepared pan, sprinkle the cinnamon brown sugar mixture, then dollop the remaining batter on top and swirl with a knife.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a frosting, then drizzle it over the cooled cake.
