Classic Breakfast Hashbrown Casserole

A cozy breakfast casserole filled with crispy hashbrowns, melted cheese, and creamy goodness for a delightful start to your day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix in a large mixing bowl the frozen hashbrowns, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, diced onion, diced bell pepper, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  4. Layer the hashbrown mix into the greased dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Add the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Cool the casserole for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Adjust seasoning as necessary, and consider adding garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor.
