  • 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 unit lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • To taste: Salt and pepper
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and add a generous pinch of salt.
  2. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  4. Melt the unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Toss in the cubed chicken, seasoning with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  7. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
  8. Introduce the broccoli florets to the skillet.
  9. Mix and sauté until the broccoli is bright green and tender.
  10. Zest the lemon and squeeze in the juice.
  11. Add the cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  12. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary before serving.
