Cream Cheese Cookies

Delightful cream cheese cookies that melt in your mouth, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 stick unsalted butter (115g), softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese (120g), room temp
  • 1¾ cup all-purpose flour (200g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy and pale, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the softened cream cheese and mix until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the egg and vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl, then mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for best results.
  7. Scoop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden on the edges and soft in the center.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For variation, try adding chocolate chips, nuts, or a citrus zest.
