2 ripe avocados
1–2 jalapeños (seeded for less heat)
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
Juice of 2 limes
1/4 cup water (more for thinner consistency)
Salt to taste
Optional: 1 small tomatillo or a splash of vinegar for added tang
