Creamy Beef Pasta

A comforting Creamy Beef Pasta dish that brings warmth and joy to your dinner table with rich flavors and creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the penne pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside, keeping about a cup of pasta water.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the lean ground beef and break it up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (about 6-8 minutes).
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: Add the diced onion to the skillet with the beef and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened. Next, toss in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Make it Creamy: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and let it gently simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Add Cheese and Pasta: Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Add the drained pasta, tossing to coat in the sauce. If thick, add reserved pasta water to achieve desired creaminess.
  6. Final Touches: Let everything cook together for a minute to blend flavors. Remove from heat, adjust salt and pepper, and give it one last stir!

Notes

Serve with warm bread and extra Parmesan. Optional add-ins include veggies or spicy elements.
