Creamy Garlic Parmesan Broccoli with Bacon

This dish brings back memories of Sunday dinners where everyone gathered around the table, laughing and sharing stories. My mom used to sneak veggies onto our plates, but when she made this creamy broccoli with crispy bacon — we’d ask for seconds. It’s the kind of side dish that steals the spotlight.

Ingredients

4 cups fresh broccoli florets

4 slices bacon, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté garlic in bacon drippings for 30 seconds.

Add broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes.

Pour in cream and let simmer until slightly thickened (about 5 minutes).

Stir in Parmesan, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg if using.

Add bacon back in and serve warm.
