  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients by chopping onion, mincing garlic, and grating ginger. Slice chicken thighs into large pieces.
  2. Sauté the aromatics by melting butter in a large pan over medium heat and adding onion, cooking until soft.
  3. Add garlic and ginger to the pan and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Brown the chicken by increasing heat to high and adding chicken pieces, cooking until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in the tomato puree and mix well with chicken.
  6. Bring on the spices by sprinkling in garam masala, cumin, and paprika, stirring well.
  7. Pour in heavy cream, reduce heat, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes to meld flavors.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
