Gordon Ramsay Chicken Tikka Masala

A flavorful, creamy dish featuring tender marinated chicken in a spiced tomato sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless Chicken Breast
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Ground Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece Ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) Tomato Puree
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh Cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, paprika, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix until smooth. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and toss them into the yogurt mixture, ensuring they’re well-coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Spread the marinated chicken on the tray in a single layer. Bake for about 20 minutes or until cooked through, aiming for slightly charred edges.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the tomato puree and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in the cream and season with salt to taste. Let it simmer on low for another 10 minutes.
  4. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Once the chicken is done, add it to the simmering sauce. Stir gently to coat and let it cook together for another 5 minutes.
  5. Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and serve alongside warm naan or fluffy rice.

Notes

Make sure to marinate the chicken for the best flavor. Tweak the spices according to your personal taste preferences.
