Homemade Ramen Noodles

Craft delicious homemade ramen noodles that are perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Eggs (optional for serving)
  • Vegetables (optional for serving)
  • Meats (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl, whisking together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
  2. Add the water gradually to the dry mixture, mixing with hands or a wooden spoon to form a dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Rest the dough wrapped in plastic for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/16 inch thickness.
  6. Cut the rolled dough into 1/4 inch wide strips for noodles, dusting with flour.
  7. Cook the noodles in boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  8. Serve with broth and your choice of toppings for a delightful ramen experience.
