16 breakfast sausage patties (beef recommended)
1½ cups all-purpose flour, sifted
3½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1¼ cups whole milk (room temp)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Cook Sausage: If using fresh sausage, pan-fry until fully cooked. Let cool slightly.
Make Batter: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, vanilla, butter, and maple syrup. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just smooth.
