Savory Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein Noodles

  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Browning Sauce (optional)
  • 1 pound Steak (Flank or Sirloin)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (grated)
  • 2 cups Broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 8 ounces Spaghetti Noodles
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. Cook the noodles according to the package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Prep the sauce by whisking together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, browning sauce, and cornstarch in a medium bowl.
  4. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the thinly sliced beef and sauté until browned, about 1-2 minutes, then remove and set aside.
  6. Cook the aromatics, adding onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet, and sauté until fragrant.
  7. Add the broccoli florets and sauté until tender but still bright green.
  8. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the prepared sauce over everything.
  9. Combine the cooked noodles with the mixture in the skillet and toss to coat.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
