Sticky Beef Noodles

A comforting bowl of sticky beef noodles with savory, sweet, and slightly sticky flavors wrapped around chewy noodles.

  • 8 oz noodles (preferably egg noodles or rice noodles)
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly, flank steak or sirloin recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion (sliced for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the noodles in a large pot of salted water until al dente, then drain and rinse.
  2. Prepare the sauce by whisking together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and brown sugar.
  3. Cook the beef in a skillet with vegetable oil, searing for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds.
  5. Mix in the sauce and let it bubble for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Combine the cooked noodles with the beef and sauce, tossing to coat.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
