4th of July Fruit Platter: An American Flag Delight

A vibrant and refreshing fruit platter designed to resemble the American flag, perfect for 4th of July celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 4 cups watermelon, cut into star shapes
  • Star-shaped cookie cutter
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the fruits thoroughly under cold running water and pat them dry.
  2. Prepare the watermelon by slicing it into thick rounds, then cut out star shapes using the cookie cutter.
  3. Slice the strawberries in half vertically to create red stripes.
  4. Slice the bananas into thick rounds for the white stripes.
  5. Assemble the platter by layering banana slices and strawberries to form alternating stripes.
  6. Add blueberries to the top left corner for the star field.
  7. Finish by placing star-shaped watermelon pieces over the blueberries.
  8. Serve with a bowl of vanilla yogurt on the side.
