Beef Lo Mein

A delightful and simple Beef Lo Mein dish combining tender beef, vibrant vegetables, and soft noodles in a savory soy sauce base.

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Lo Mein Noodles: Boil salted water, cook noodles until al dente, drain, rinse, and toss with sesame oil.
  2. Prep the Beef: Slice beef into thin strips, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, sear beef for 2-3 minutes, then set aside.
  4. Sauté the Vegetables: Add garlic and mixed vegetables to the same skillet, stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine It All: Add noodles, beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and green onions, tossing to combine.
  6. Finishing Touches: Drizzle sesame oil, toss again and garnish with green onions.

Notes

For added flair, top with sesame seeds or serve with spring rolls.
