Bleeding Black Cupcakes

Delicious chocolate cupcakes filled with raspberry jam for a spooky Halloween treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raspberry jam
  • Black icing or fondant for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
  5. Bring the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cupcakes for 5 minutes in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Prepare raspberry jam by cutting a hole in each cupcake.
  10. Fill each cupcake with jam for the bleeding effect.
  11. Decorate with black icing or fondant.

Add Halloween-themed sprinkles or edible glitter for extra fun!
