Ingredients

  • 2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Prep your figs by washing gently, trimming stems, and slicing a small X into the base.
  2. Make the syrup by combining sugar, water, lemon juice, and cinnamon stick in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until dissolved.
  3. Add the figs to the bubbling syrup, ensuring they are submerged, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Cool figs on a plate or jar, allowing the syrup to thicken before pouring over the figs.

Notes
