Perfect Cheeseburger

A nostalgic journey to create the perfect cheeseburger that brings family and friends together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (15-20% fat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Onion
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup and mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Form the patties by mixing ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Divide into four portions and shape into patties with a slight indentation in the center.
  2. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the patties for about 3-4 minutes without moving them.
  4. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on top. Cover for about a minute to allow the cheese to melt.
  5. Toast the buns cut-side down until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, cheesy patty, tomato, onion, and pickles, then top with the bun.

Notes

Try variations like spicy jalapeño or BBQ bacon burgers for added flavor.
