Cheesy Burger Patties

Juicy and melty cheesy burger patties that are perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for flavor and juiciness)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to gently mix everything together.
  2. Shape the patties: Divide the mixture into equal portions, about 4 oz. each, and shape them into round discs.
  3. Preheat the grill: Heat it to medium-high.
  4. Cook the patties: Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without pressing down.
  5. Melt the cheese: After flipping, cook for another 4-5 minutes, adding an extra slice of cheese if desired.
  6. Check for doneness: Ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 160°F (71°C).
  7. Rest the patties: Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different cheeses and toppings. You can make them healthier by using leaner meat or even vegetarian options.
