Cherry Cheesecake Dump Cake

A delightful dessert combining tart cherries and creamy cheesecake under a warm, buttery cake topping, perfect for any gathering.

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by lightly greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Mix the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the cherry filling.
  6. Layer the yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  8. Top with chopped pecans and ground cinnamon if using.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
