Chili Lime Chicken

A flavorful and zesty Chicken recipe that celebrates tangy lime juice and warm chili powder, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine the fresh lime juice, chili powder, olive oil, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or dish. Pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat Your Grill or Skillet: Get the grill hot over medium-high heat or warm a skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Rest the Chicken: Transfer the chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve & Garnish: Slice and top with freshly chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, you can drizzle cooked marinade over the chicken before serving. Adjust spice levels to your preference.
