A delightful puff pastry treat filled with creamy pumpkin goodness, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 Sheet of Puff Pastry
  • 200g of Pumpkin Puree
  • 100g of Cheese (like Gruyère or mozzarella)
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Optional: Spooky Decorations (olives, pastry scraps)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out your sheet of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface.
  3. Prepare the pumpkin filling by combining the pumpkin puree, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cut out your pastry into rectangles or Halloween shapes.
  5. Fill the pastry with a generous spoonful of the pumpkin mixture.
  6. Seal the pastry by folding it over and pressing the edges.
  7. Apply the egg wash to the tops of the pastries.
  8. Add decorations like sliced olives or pastry shapes.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Feel free to customize with herbs or different cheeses! These pastries are great for freezing before baking.
