Spook-tacular Witch’s Fingers

Eerie Witch’s Fingers are spooky treats resembling bony hands, perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Almonds (for fingernails)
  • Puff pastry
  • Green food coloring
  • Red food coloring or raspberry jam (for blood)
  • Egg wash (egg mixed with water)
  • Salt
  • Black food coloring (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your workstation by dusting the countertop lightly with flour.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into strips, roughly 3 inches wide and 6 inches long.
  4. Shape each strip into a finger shape, pinching at intervals to create ‘knuckles’.
  5. Attach an almond at the tip of each finger.
  6. Color the fingers with the egg wash, then apply green food coloring and raspberry jam for effect.
  7. Sprinkle with salt.
  8. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Decorate with black food coloring if desired.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute puff pastry for vegan and use sunflower seeds instead of almonds.
