Dough Burgers

Delicious seasoned beef filled in fluffy biscuit dough, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb biscuit dough
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add a splash of cooking oil and toss in the chopped onions. Sauté until translucent and fragrant—about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Brown the Ground Beef: Add ground beef to skillet. Season with salt and pepper, breaking it up while cooking until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the Burgers: Preheat frying oil in a deep pan to about 350°F (175°C). Divide biscuit dough into golf-ball-sized pieces. Flatten each piece and spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture into the center.
  4. Seal the Deal: Fold the biscuit dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal tightly.
  5. Fry Time: Place sealed Dough Burgers into hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain Excess Oil: Transfer the fried Dough Burgers to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Notes

For added cooking security, you can pop the fried burgers in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure everything is cooked perfectly.
