Easy Fig Jam

A simple and indulgent homemade fig jam that transforms any meal into something extraordinary.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Figs (2 pounds)
  • Honey (1 cup)
  • Lemon Juice (1/4 cup)
  • Rosemary (2-3 sprigs)
  • Granulated Sugar (1/2 cup)

Instructions

  1. Prep your figs by rinsing them under cool water, trimming the stems, and cutting them into quarters.
  2. Combine the quartered figs, honey, lemon juice, and sugar in a large pot, stirring gently.
  3. Let the fig mixture marinate for about 15-20 minutes to create a flavorful syrup.
  4. Cook the jam over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 20-30 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add rosemary in the last few minutes of cooking to infuse flavor.
  6. Jar the jam into sterilized glass jars while hot, leaving headspace, and seal tightly.
  7. Enjoy the jam on toast, in desserts, or as a complement to cheese and meats!

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by modifying the sugar; simmer longer for thicker consistency.
