Easy Healthy Broccoli Pasta

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Prepare the broccoli by adding it to the pot in the last 2-3 minutes of the pasta cooking time.
  3. Sauté the garlic in olive oil in a skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Combine the drained pasta and broccoli with the garlic in the skillet, tossing to combine.
  5. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, and adjust as needed.
  6. Serve in bowls, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
