Le Fondant aux Pommes et Mascarpone

A comforting apple cake with creamy mascarpone cheese, perfect for family dinners or elegant gatherings.

  • 4 Large Apples
  • 250g Mascarpone Cheese
  • 100g Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 150g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 100g Butter
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare your apples: peel, core, and slice them thinly.
  3. Mix the mascarpone cheese and sugar in a large mixing bowl until creamy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold into the mascarpone blend.
  6. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract, and fold until just combined.
  7. Incorporate the sliced apples into the batter gently.
  8. Prepare your baking dish by greasing it with butter.
  9. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream.
