Hamburger Hash

A cozy and comforting dish combining crispy potatoes, savory ground beef, and aromatic spices, perfect for family dinners.

  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Wash and dice the potatoes, chop the onions, and mince the garlic.
  2. Cook the potatoes: Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and cook for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Add onions and garlic: Push potatoes to one side, add more oil if needed, and sauté onions and garlic for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Brown the ground beef: Create space in the center of the skillet, add the ground beef, and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Combine everything: Stir everything together and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve it up: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh herbs or serve with a dollop of sour cream or a fried egg.

Notes

For a lower-carb version, substitute potatoes with sweet potatoes or cauliflower. This recipe can be easily customized with additional veggies or spices.
