Sparkling Orange Cranberry Mocktail

A refreshing and vibrant mocktail combining the zesty flavors of orange and tangy cranberry, perfect for any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or honey/maple syrup)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice (about 68 oranges)
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 3 cups sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • Orange slices, for garnish
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Cinnamon sticks for stirring

Instructions

  1. Make the Cranberry Syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberries, sugar (or honey/maple syrup), and water. Stir gently and cook until cranberries pop and mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Strain to separate solids and let cool.
  2. Juicing the Oranges: Juice the oranges until you have 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Adjust sweetness as desired.
  3. Mix the Base: In a pitcher, combine cooled cranberry syrup, orange juice, and lemon juice. Stir gently until well combined.
  4. Add the Bubbles: Just before serving, add the chilled sparkling water and stir gently to avoid losing fizz.
  5. Serve It Up: Fill glasses with ice cubes (if using) and pour the sparkling mixture over, garnishing with orange slices and fresh rosemary.
  6. Stir and Enjoy: Optionally add cinnamon sticks to each glass for stirring.

Notes

You can make the cranberry syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. For a low-sugar option, consider using monk fruit or stevia.
