Slow Cooker Apple Pork Roast

A cozy autumn dish featuring tender pork roast infused with the sweet tartness of apples, perfect for warming up your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb pork shoulder or loin roast
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3/4 cup apple cider
  • 1 tsp sage
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep your slow cooker by setting it to low heat.
  2. Season the pork with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer the sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Add the seasoned pork roast on top of the onions.
  5. Scatter the apple slices over the pork.
  6. Pour the apple cider evenly over everything.
  7. Sprinkle the sage over the top.
  8. Cook for about 8 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high.
  9. Let the roast rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve sliced with caramelized apples and onions, drizzled with apple cider sauce. Optional: add fresh herbs for garnish.
