Transform leftover burger patties into delicious meals like casseroles, tacos, and more.

Ingredients

  • Leftover burger patties
  • Pasta (rotini, penne, or macaroni)
  • Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • Casserole sauce (cream of mushroom soup or cheese sauce)
  • Tortillas (flour or corn)
  • Lettuce
  • Salsa
  • Bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)
  • Rice (white, brown, or quinoa)
  • Potatoes
  • Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, or corn)
  • Gravy (store-bought or homemade)
  • Pizza dough
  • Pizza sauce
  • Toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, etc.)
  • Vegetables (broccoli, spinach, or cherry tomatoes)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Pasta: Start by boiling water for the pasta. Salt it generously; it should taste like the sea. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Mix and Mash: While the pasta cooks, take those leftover burger patties and chop them into bite-sized pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped meat, cooked pasta, and your choice of sauce.
  3. Cheese it Up: Fold in a generous handful of cheese and pour the whole mixture into a casserole dish. Top with more cheese.
  4. Bake: Pop it in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
  5. Prep the Patties for Tacos: Chop your leftover burger patties into small crumbles. Warm the crumbles in a skillet for about 5 minutes, mixing in spices.
  6. Toast the Tortillas: Warm your tortillas in a skillet for about a minute on each side.
  7. Assemble Your Tacos: Stack your warm tortillas with melted cheese, burger crumbles, lettuce, and salsa.
  8. Prep the Peppers: Cut the tops off your bell peppers, removing seeds. Optionally, pre-bake them for 10 minutes.
  9. Mix the Filling: Combine chopped burger patties with cooked rice and cheese.
  10. Fill the Peppers: Spoon the filling into each pepper, packing them full and topping with cheese.
  11. Bake to Perfection: Bake stuffed peppers at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  12. Cook the Potatoes for Shepherd’s Pie: Boil and mash potatoes with butter, cream, salt, and pepper.
  13. Prep the Filling: Mix chopped burger patties with vegetables and gravy, simmering until heated through.
  14. Layer: Spread the meat mix in a baking dish, topped with mashed potatoes.
  15. Bake: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  16. Roll Out Pizza Dough: Roll out your dough to desired thickness and place on a stone or sheet.
  17. Sauce it Up: Spread pizza sauce on the dough and add chopped burger patties.
  18. Bake: Bake according to dough’s instructions, usually around 450°F (232°C) for 10-15 minutes.
