Apple Cinnamon Smoothie

A delightful and cozy blend of apple and cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or a refreshing snack.

  • 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 ripe banana, frozen
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 34 ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Start by peeling and chopping your apple. If you have an apple corer, this will speed up the process! Pop your frozen banana out of the freezer to let it soften just a tad.
  2. Blend the base: In your blender, add the almond milk first. Next, toss in the chopped apple, frozen banana, rolled oats, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  3. Bring on the ice: For an extra-chilly smoothie, throw in those ice cubes! This step is optional.
  4. Give it a whirl: Secure the lid on your blender and blend on high for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Pause to scrape down the sides if necessary.
  5. Taste test: Grab a spoon, taste your smoothie, and see if it needs any adjustments.
  6. Serve it up: Pour your smoothie into your favorite glass and add a dash of cinnamon or a few apple slices for garnish.

Notes

Meal prep the ingredients the night before for a quick morning blend. Adjust sweetness with more banana or syrup as needed.
