Classic Bruschetta

A simple yet vibrant Italian appetizer featuring fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic on crispy toasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Fresh Roma Tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 8 Crispy Toasts or Baguette Slices

Instructions

  1. Prep the tomatoes by dicing them finely and placing them in a bowl with a pinch of salt. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Chop the basil into thin ribbons and add it to the tomatoes.
  3. Mince the garlic and add it to the tomato mixture.
  4. Mix in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, stirring gently. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Prepare the toasts by slicing the baguette, brushing them with olive oil, and toasting in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Assembly time! Top each toast with the tomato mixture, ensuring each is generously filled.
  7. Garnish with more olive oil, basil, or Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

Bruschetta is best enjoyed right after assembly. Keep toppings separate from the toasts to maintain crunch.
