Easy Bruschetta Recipe

A delightful Italian appetizer featuring crispy toasted bread topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Tomatoes (finely diced)
  • 1/3 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • Salt and Pepper (to preference)
  • 1/4 cup Basil Leaves (cut into strips)
  • 1 Baguette
  • Parmesan (as desired)

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Gather all your ingredients on the counter. Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and chop the basil into strips. Mince your garlic, and don’t forget to measure out your olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  2. Mix the Topping: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, and basil leaves. Drizzle in the olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Gently mix until combined and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Baguette: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices on a diagonal. Lay the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
  4. Toast the Bread: Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Assemble Your Bruschetta: Once the bread is toasted, spoon the tomato topping generously over each slice. Shave some Parmesan over the top for added flavor.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and dig in!

Notes

Serve fresh and warm for the best experience. Consider pairing with marinara sauce for dipping.
