Homemade Bruschetta

A classic Italian appetizer celebrating fresh ingredients with diced tomatoes, basil, and olive oil on toasted bread.

  • 1 Baguette or Ciabatta
  • 4 Ripe Tomatoes, diced
  • 23 Cloves of Garlic, minced
  • Basil Leaves, chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Wash your tomatoes and basil, dice the tomatoes into small cubes, and chop the basil.
  2. Combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, and chopped basil in a mixing bowl. Drizzle in about 2 tablespoons of olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently and let sit for about 10–15 minutes.
  3. Toast the Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice your baguette or ciabatta into ½-inch thick pieces. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for about 5–7 minutes until golden and crisp.
  4. Assemble the Bruschetta: Spoon the tomato mixture onto each slice of toasted bread. Drizzle with more olive oil if desired.
  5. Serve Immediately: Enjoy your Bruschetta warm, garnished with an extra basil leaf on top.

Notes

Bruschetta is best enjoyed fresh. Store leftover ingredients separately to maintain crispness.
