Cinnamon Roll Bread Twists

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Combine the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, and stir into the dry ingredients.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (approximately 10×14 inches) on a floured surface.
  5. Spread melted butter on the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over it.
  6. Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and twist each strip gently.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze, then drizzle over the warm twists.
