Easy Witch Hat Cupcakes

Whimsical Halloween-themed chocolate cupcakes topped with ice cream cone witch hats and seasonal decorations.

  • 12 chocolate cupcakes
  • 12 chocolate ice cream cones
  • 1 cup black icing
  • 1 cup orange or purple frosting
  • Candy corn or other seasonal decorations

Instructions

  1. Bake the cupcakes: Preheat your oven according to your cupcake recipe or box mix instructions. Prepare your muffin tin with cupcake liners and fill each about two-thirds full with batter. Bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Cool the cupcakes: Transfer the cupcakes to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Frost the cupcakes: Once cooled, take your orange or purple frosting and generously frost each cupcake.
  4. Prepare the witch hats: Turn the chocolate ice cream cones upside down and pipe or spread a layer of black icing on the inverted cone.
  5. Assemble the witch hats: Place the coated cones carefully upright on top of each frosted cupcake.
  6. Add seasonal flair: Finish off your witch hats by placing candy corn or other decorations around the base of the cone or on top of the icing.
  7. Display and enjoy: Arrange your cupcakes on a spooky-themed platter or tray.
