Refreshing Peach Lemonade

A delightful summer drink that combines the sweetness of ripe peaches with zesty lemon juice, perfect for hot days.

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for peach puree)
  • 1/2 cup water (for peach puree)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (for peach puree)
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 810 medium lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 46 cups cold water (for dilution)
  • Fresh peach slices (for garnish)
  • Lemon wheels or wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peach Puree: Wash your peaches thoroughly, cut in half to remove pits, and chop the flesh. Combine chopped peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup water in a saucepan, bringing it to a gentle simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Blend the Peach Mixture: Allow mixture to cool slightly before blending until smooth. Optional: strain to remove pulp.
  3. Make the Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Cool before using.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix freshly squeezed lemon juice, peach puree, simple syrup, and dilute with cold water.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least an hour. Serve over ice and garnish with peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint sprigs.

Notes

Experiment with flavors by adding mint, basil, or even trying sparkling water for a fizzy twist!
