Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  5. Add in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
