Hamburger Steak Patties

A comforting and hearty dish featuring juicy hamburger steak patties seasoned to perfection, perfect for bringing warmth to your dinner table.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Gravy (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by gathering everything together and finely chopping the onion.
  2. Mix in a large bowl the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper using your hands without overmixing.
  3. Shape the mixture into 4–5 equal patties, making them about ¾ inch thick.
  4. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through to 160°F (71°C).
  6. Optional: Make gravy using the drippings left in the skillet.
  7. Serve hot, preferably with gravy and sides like mashed potatoes and green beans.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. You can also create variations by adding cheese, herbs, or spices.
