Spooktacular Halloween Brownies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Spiderweb icing (to decorate)
  • Candy eyeballs and pumpkin-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your baking pan by greasing a 9×13 inch baking pan with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently.
  4. Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and stir until well combined.
  5. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition, and add the vanilla extract.
  6. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  7. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  9. Bake in your preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.
  10. Cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  11. Decorate with spiderweb icing, candy eyeballs, and sprinkles.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze them.
