  • 1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 pound sliced button mushrooms
  • 1/4 pound shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Gather, chop, and shred your components to streamline cooking.
  2. Heat the skillet over medium heat and melt the butter until bubbling.
  3. Cook the onions for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add the mushrooms and sauté for another 5 minutes until tender.
  5. Brown the ground chuck with Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and black pepper for 6-8 minutes.
  6. Combine the cooked onions and mushrooms with the beef, mixing until even.
  7. Melt the cheese on top, covering the skillet for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  9. Serve hot, garnished if desired.
