Create Your Own Walking Taco Bar

A fun and interactive way to enjoy tacos, letting everyone customize their own walking taco right in a bag of corn chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 bag individual bags of corn chips (like Fritos)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa
  • Sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Chopped onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
  2. Add seasoning: Once the meat is nicely cooked, sprinkle in the taco seasoning and a splash of water (about 1/4 cup) to help the seasoning mix in. Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the toppings: While the meat is simmering, wash and chop all your toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños.
  4. Set up your taco bar: Get your serving area ready! Place your individual bags of corn chips in a line, and set out bowls for the ground meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa.
  5. Enjoy your creation: Watch as your guests dive in, combining flavors and creating their unique taco combinations.

Notes
